Tolo has been a successful tourist resort for many years made popular by its enviable geographic situation, sheltered bay, warm waters and golden sandy beach. Tolo was originally a fishing village, many of its inhabitants are still fisherman and it houses one of the last “hand-made” boat builders in Greece. Tolo’s charm and friendly locals took the village’s natural beauty and added all the necessary amenities to make it one of the most popular places for holidays in Greece for both foreign and Greek tourists.

The village has one main road that runs the length of Tolo parallel with the coastline from the sandy golden beach to the harbour. Along the main street of Tolo visitors find bars, restaurants, tavernas, cafeterias, gift shops and jewellery shops and the evenings find a throng of people wandering along making the odd stop to drink a cool beer or an iced coffee. Tolo caters for locals and visitors’ everyday needs with a wide choice of supermarkets, dry cleaners, hairdressers, doctor’s surgery, pharmacies and post office.
